Fontana, Sr. Principal stated "The fiber infrastructure will support IHC with a host of educational applications."  Feature -rich activities like video, audio and real time collaboration are all possible when the technology is seamlessly integrated into classrooms.  Among the advantages that a fiber network can offer is the ability for students to communicate with distant classrooms via video.  A student at Immaculate Heart Central School, for example, could participate in a class offered in a  school in New York City.  And a homebound student could keep up with his class -- even participate in class discussions -- while sitting in his living room.
