Westelcom Employees Complete ADTRAN Certifications

Westelcom announced today that 35 of their employees recently completed training and certification in ADTRAN IP Telephony Sales and Technical Support. The ADTRAN Certification program is designed to provide qualified individuals with the market and technical knowledge required to excel in the selling, installation, and configuring of IP products and solutions. The training demonstrates Westelcom's commitment to providing its customers with advanced technology and superior service. this training also compliments Westelcom's recent expansion of its fiber network throughout the North Country.

The ADTRAN Sale Professional for IP Telephony certification is designed specifically for networking professionals working primarily in non-technical capacities, requiring fundamental knowledge of networking technologies and the NetVanta product line. ASP certification was achieved by completing computer-based training and an online exam. The ADTRAN Technical Support Associate for IP Telephony certification provides an individual with hands-on skills in addition to conceptual knowledge of ADTRAN products and solutions. Professional level certifications is achieved by taking a four-day NetVanta 7000 Dealer Certification class and passing the ATSP/IPT online exam.
