     February 2005 - Westelcom completes final steps...
   

Westelcom, a local telecommunication’s provider serving over 30,000 customers in Essex, Clinton, Franklin, Lewis, Jefferson, and St. Lawrence counties recently completed its final steps in engineering their network to provide fully redundant telecommunication and broadband services to the region.

 Westelcom has expanded their services to Gouverneur, Ogdensburg, Lowville, Canton, Potsdam, and Massena through the Development Authority of the North Country (DANC) 400 mile fiber-optic network.  The company is playing an instrumental role with its ability to provide regional businesses with the choice one telecommunications provider delivering voice, data, networking and web hosting and design services.
