Question:   I have been using tape back ups for years now and I can say it is far from flawless.  Can you recommend a more reliable source?
Solution: You're not alone. 77% of respondents found failed tapes while testing their back up system. (source Storage Magazine)
Westelcom recognizes that tape based solutions are prone to human error and that an alternative solution is necessary. After testing, we are pleased to be able to offer a Data Storage alternative that provides instant recovery and offsite storage to take away liability from local disasters such as flood, or fire.

Westelcom raises $1,250  for Cancer Cause

Kudos to Dave Mance and Westelcom's Jeff Wood, both Cancer Survivors, who together with Steve Wood of Westelcom initiated a campaign to raise funds for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.  Westelcom announced in July 2006 that for every new business to join the Westelcom Network the company would be obliged to donate to help fight for a cure of a disease  that Jeff Wood broadcasted “at one time or another has affected our own lives.    Dave Mance was happy to pitch in radio airtime to raise awareness due to his remarkable fight against cancer in 1986. “I received the proper treatment” he stated. “I also took some very good advice to increase my chances of survival and I am happy to say that I’ve lived a life cancer-free ever since.”

According to the American Cancer Society, cancer caused 22.7% of all deaths in 2006.  Westelcom and the companies that so charitably entered their network are pleased to have raised $1,250.

The company continues to elevate all who struggle with cancer. They are positively influenced by the hope, strength and courage that fill the souls of each survivor and are proud to have been involved with an organization that has been so valuable to the American culture.

Don Boshart of the Amercian Cancer Society took a moment to thank Westelcom and Dave Mance for their support. “I think it’s incredible that people are involving themselves in this fight against cancer today. What is even more remarkable is that this business (Westelcom) has taken the time and given the money to help their community. I hope other businesses in this area can see what Westelcom has done and do something that will benefit the public. Cancer kills and with a little help from everyone we can save many lives.”
